In support of its commitment to supply high-performance waterborne binders to the coatings
industry, Nuplex Resins introduces the new trade name, "Setaqua™" in Europe, which will
officially be launched March 2007.
The Setaqua™ waterborne product line consists of specialty acrylic dispersions and emulsions, a
new line of polyurethane dispersions and urethane modified alkyd emulsions. Additionally, within
the Setaqua™ range, there exists a unique group of acrylic based products with built-in rheology.
These products facilitate the formulation of automotive basecoats which have both optimum
appearance and application properties.
Nuplex Resins has extensive coating and resin experience across a wide variety of markets in
waterborne polymer technologies. This, combined with its broad global footprint and experience
in related manufacturing processes, will serve as the basis for Nuplex's growth in the waterborne
market. Additionally, Nuplex recently opened a new waterborne R&D lab at its Bergen op Zoom
facility in the Netherlands and announced significant capacity expansions for both acrylic and
polyurethane dispersions at this same site.
