December 11th, 2007, Nuplex officially opened a new factory for the production
of waterborne acrylic resins on its premises in Bergen op Zoom, the Netherlands.
This investment is part of the company’s worldwide growth strategy.
The resins that will be produced in this new plant are mainly destined for the
growing demand of environmental friendly coating systems for the industrial- and
decorative market. A market which –due to stringent VOC regulations– Nuplex
expects to grow even faster in the coming years.
“Before the acquisition by Nuplex Industries in 2005, the European organization
had a strong focus on the development of waterborne resins for its automotive
markets” explains Paul Kieffer, general manager Nuplex Resins EMEA.
“Thanks to the worldwide expertise of Nuplex, we could accelerate the
development of waterborne resins for other market segments significantly and
can now provide our customers with a comprehensive portfolio of VOC compliant
resins and services”.
